AUSMAH Opens New Testing Ground for Hybrid Truck Powertrains

21 January 2026
AUSMAH has opened a dedicated testing facility near its headquarters, purpose-built to evaluate hybrid powertrain performance under extreme temperature and load conditions.
The facility allows engineers to simulate a wide range of operating environments, from sustained mountain grades to sub-zero cold starts, without relying solely on field testing. Company representatives said the investment reflects growing demand for hybrid trucks among fleet operators navigating uneven charging infrastructure.
“We wanted a controlled environment where we could stress-test these systems before they ever reach a customer’s fleet,” said an engineer overseeing the facility.
