AUSMAH Unveils Concept for Modular Electric Delivery Vehicle

30 November 2021
AUSMAH presented an early concept for a modular electric delivery vehicle designed for last-mile logistics, featuring a reconfigurable cargo bay that can be adapted for different types of freight.
The concept vehicle uses a skateboard-style chassis, a design AUSMAH engineers say simplifies manufacturing and allows for multiple body configurations to be built on the same underlying platform. Company representatives noted the project draws on lessons learned from the group’s broader work on intelligent commercial vehicles.
“We wanted to explore what happens when you separate the drivetrain from the cargo design entirely,” said a member of AUSMAH’s concept development team.
